Wish You Were Here

I was pleased to take part in the "Wish You Were Here" Postcard show held by Still Rivers Editions in Danbury during the summer of 2020. The show was a response to the pandemic and ensuing shutdown, featuring works of over 100 artists, predominently from Conncecticut but also Nationwide and World Wide. Each artist submitted a piece that captured the individuals mood during the initial period of time when most everything was closed down. The piece I submitted was entitled "Escapism"...

Rituals of Resistance - Nasty Women of Ct.

In early March of 2020, along with over 100 other artists, Cheryl Leah Morgan and myself collaborated on a photographic/writing project for the Rituals of Resistance show put on by Nasty Women of Connecticut. The show featured work that spoke about varying aspects of protest. Our peace was entitled Ribbons of Reminder, it highlighted visually and literally the public display of support for political prisoners in the Catalan region of Spain. My work was made up of two large black and white photos on canvas, a small black and white framed photo and eight color postcards, they were accompanied by two written pieces that were done by Miss Morgan. All the work was hung in the show by yellow ribbon that was sown to each piece by Cheryl. The yellow ribbons were in honor of the yellow ribbons that can be seen flying throughout Catalonia as a sign of protest. The show was held at the Urban Collective in New Haven...

"Drive By Shooter" - Accessible Art Project - Cultural Alliance of Western CT

My "Drive By Shooter" photography series was selected to be part of the annual Accessible Art Project put on in the greater Danbury area by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. My solo show was on display for seven weeks in the late summer, early fall of 2017 at Hancock Hall. As an artist model I have been the subject. Pursuing my interest in photography while drawing on my background in film and writing I created my own images. Moving forward, leaving things behind, "Drive By Shooter" captures the imagery of the road, with an eye on the looming sites ahead and the views vanishing in the rear view.
